About me
Hi, my name is Caroline. I qualified as a level 3 matwork Pilates instructor, training in Edinburgh, London and Aberdeen with one of the most comprehensive training courses available. After qualifying, I have taught Pilates in Aberdeen and the Shire in small group classes and privately since early 2018.
I have been working with a wide range of clients, from young to old, from active to inactive, and am passionate about passing the joys and benefits of Pilates onto my clients as I know that everyone could benefit from doing Pilates regularly. It is my focus as a Pilates instructor to help my clients make the most out of their workout through focusing on technique and posture. I am often told by my clients that they feel stronger, longer and leaner after a session with me as well as feeling relief of physcial tension and mental stress.
All my classes are taught on the mat and I often add small pieces of equipment like the resistance band, a small ball, hand weights and the magic circle into my lesson plan as they either help add a new challenge to an already familiar exercise or assist the body as needed. I am qualified in Bone Health (Osteoporosis and Osteopenia) and Pre- and Postnatal Pilates and regularly take part in teacher training courses to educate myself further.
I came across Pilates in 2013 when I was looking for a way to relieve the tension and achiness in my body due to a chronic condition I have called Ankylosing Spondylitis. I was amazed at how much this focused approach to movement helped me and to this day is still so effective. So whether you are a Pilates enthusiast already, a beginner, curious about Pilates or have aches and pains you want to address, then why don't you give my Pilates classes a try! I am always happy to answer any questions you might have or give more details on my lessons if you get in touch with me by email or on social media.
